Mladen Palac (born 18 February 1971 Donji Mamići Bosnia and Herzegovina) is a Croatian chess Grandmaster (1993) and FIDE Trainer (2005).He won the Croatian Chess Championship in 2001 and 2004. In 1998 he won the Biel chess tournament. In 2002 tied for 1st–5th with Dražen Sermek Zdenko Kozul Vladimir Burmakin and Ognjen Cvitan in the Casino HIT NG Open in Nova Gorica.
