The 2006 Minnesota House of Representatives elections were held in the U.S. state of Minnesota on November 7 2006 to elect the 134 members of the Minnesota House of Representatives for two-year terms to serve in the 85th Minnesota Legislature.The social liberal Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL) won a majority of seats defeating the conservative Republican Party of Minnesota which had a majority since the 1998 elections. The new Legislature convened on January 3 2007.
