The Ministry of Transport (Tamil: போக்குவரத்து அமைச்சு Pōkkuvarattu Amaiccu) is the central government ministry of Sri Lanka responsible for transport. The ministry is responsible for formulating and implementing national policy on rail and public passenger transport and other subjects which come under its purview. The ministry manages the country’s railways and public bus transport system.
