The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Uzbek: O’zbekiston Respublikasi Ichki ishlаr vаzirligi) is a body of the Government of Uzbekistan that is charged with the internal affairs of Uzbekistan and oversees the national police. The Ministry of Internal Affairs was founded on 25 August 1991. It replaced the Soviet Interior Ministry.
