The Military Aviation Authority (MAA) is the organisation within the British Ministry of Defence which regulates audits and assures all aspects of military aviation.The MAA was created on 1 April 2010 as a result of investigations and subsequent reports into systemic failures and the desire to implement regulations for maintaining airworthiness of aircraft in British Military(RN Army or RAF).The authority incorporates the former Directorate of Aviation Regulation & Safety previously the Defence Aviation Safety Centre (DASC) which had been located at RAF Bentley Priory until the station closed in 2008 and the organisation moved to RAF Northolt.
