Mikhail Moiseyevich Botvinnik PhD (Russian: Михаи́л Моисе́евич Ботви́нник pronounced [mʲixaˈiɫ̺ mʌiˈs̺ʲɛjɛvʲitʃʲ bʌt̺ˈvʲin̺n̻ʲik]; August 17 [O.S.
