Mike Murphy (born September 25 1944) is an American football coach.Murphy was the defensive line coach for the University of Vermont from 1970 to 1973 and Idaho State University from 1974 to 1975. He became the defensive coordinator for Idaho State in 1976. He was the linebackers coach at Western Illinois from 1977 to 1978 before becoming the defensive coordinator for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League from 1979 to 1983.
