Mike Fernandez is the billionaire founder of MBF Healthcare Partners (a private equity firm) and Simply Healthcare Plans. He lives in Florida after immigrating from Cuba in 1964 at the age of 12. His equity firm’s holdings include a large stake in Navarro Discount Pharmacy. Fernandez also owns the 4000 acre Little River Plantation ranch near Havana Florida outside Tallahasee and 25000 acres of property in Alabama.
