He is known for his representation of Michael Skakel. Sherman’s client was found guilty. In October 2013 a judge ordered a retrial for Skakel citing Sherman’s failures.On March 15 2011 Sherman was sent to prison for failing to pay more than $1.1 million in federal taxes.
