Michael B. Coleman (born November 18 1954) is an American politician of the Democratic Party the 52nd and current mayor of Columbus Ohio. He is the first African-American mayor of Ohio’s capital.Coleman was born in Indianapolis but moved to Toledo at an early age. After growing up in the Toledo area Coleman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Cincinnati and a Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law.
