Metro Local is a bus system in Los Angeles County operated by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro). This retronym designation was placed to differentiate it from the Metro Rapid service (before the advent of several Rapids they were simply known as Metro lines). Metro Local buses cover both local limited-stop and shuttle bus services.Metro Local buses are distinguished by their prominent orange color.
