The METRA Transit System is the primary provider of mass transportation in Muscogee County Georgia. The agency was founded in 1978 after the bankruptcy of Howard Bus Lines the private company that had previously provided public transportation to the area. Currently nine routes serve the city providing service from Monday through Saturday.
