Metelytsia (Ukrainian: Meтeлиця) is a popular folk dance from Ukraine. It is performed by amateurs professional Ukrainian dance ensembles as well as other performers of folk dances.This dance abounds in swift changes of choreographed figures of a spinning nature symbollizing a snowstorm. The dance still retains its Khorovod character the ancient form of communal or group dancing and choral singing with the many figures in a circle form.
