Memphis Teacher Residency (MTR) is a member of the Urban Teacher Residency United network and located in Memphis Tennessee. MTR is a faith-based four-year teacher preparation program based on the residency model. During the residency year residents train with a mentor receive coaching and take Masters in Urban Education coursework through Union University. After the first year residents earn a Masters in Urban Education degree and pursue employment in local urban high-needs schools.
