Melanie Roberts is a British gymnast born on May 13 1988 in Saltney Flintshire Wales. At the age of five Roberts started gymnastics at the Northgate Arena Leisure Centre in Chester. When she had reached as far as she could go here she was advised to go to the City of Liverpool gym club. In 2002 Roberts joined the British Junior Europeans team even though her earlier rankings (20th and 18th) at the Espoir British championship had not been strong.
