Matthew Levinger (born 1960) is an American historian. He is a Senior Program Officer in the Education and Training Center at the United States Institute of Peace. Levinger received a B.A. (1983) from Haverford College and an M.A. and Ph.D. (1992) in History from the University of Chicago. He taught at the Hackley School in Tarrytown NY (1983–85) and was lecturer at Stanford University (1991–94).
