Matt Hassett (born 1932) is a retired Irish sportsperson born in Toomevara Tipperary. He played hurling with his local club Toomevara and was a member of the Tipperary senior inter-county team from 1960 until 1962. Hassett captained Tipperary to the All-Ireland title in 1961.
