Doctor Matthew Matt Carter is a fictional character from the ITV soap opera Coronation Street played by Oliver Mellor. He made his first on screen appearance on 20 August 2010. On 30 June 2013 Mellor revealed that he had quit the show and Matt would not appear again or get an on-screen exit.
