The Massachusetts gubernatorial election of 2010 was held on November 2 2010. Incumbent Democratic Governor Deval Patrick was re-elected to a second term. Also competing were the Republican Party nominee businessman Charlie Baker; independent candidate and State Treasurer Tim Cahill; and Green-Rainbow Party nominee and physician Jill Stein. Party primaries were held on September 14 though all four candidates ran unopposed in their respective primaries.
