Mary Gray-Reeves became the first woman Episcopal diocesan bishop in California on November 10 2007 when she was ordained and consecrated the third bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of El Camino Real at services in Saratoga. She had formerly been the archdeacon for deployment in the Episcopal Diocese of Southeast Florida.
