Martin Olav Sabo (born February 28 1938) is an American politician and member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL) and a former United States Representative for Minnesota’s fifth district which includes Minneapolis; the district is one of eight congressional districts in Minnesota.Sabo was born of Norwegian immigrant parents in Crosby North Dakota and in 1959 received a B.A. from Augsburg College in Minneapolis later pursuing graduate studies at the University of Minnesota.
