Mariana Nery Brochado (born December 18 1984 in Rio de Janeiro) is a freestyle swimmer from Brazil. She won the bronze medal in the women’s 200-metre freestyle at the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo Dominican Republic. A member of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo swimming team she also represented her native country at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece.One of the muses of Brazilian sport Mariana entered the Flamengo’s swimming school at four years old.
