Marcellus of Capua was a third- or fourth-century martyr who was inserted in the Roman Catholic calendar of saints in the thirteenth century. He is recognized as a saint by the Roman Catholic Church with 7 October as his feast day. He is commemorated in the extraordinary form of the Roman Rite on 8 October.In the liturgical calendar Marcellus was associated with Apuleius. They were said to have been converted to Christianity by the miracles of Saint Peter.
