Manuel Sánchez (Monterrey Nuevo León July 27 1950) is a Mexican economist with extensive experience in banking and academia. On April 23 2009 the President Felipe Calderón Hinojosa nominated him as Deputy Governor and member of the Governing Board of the Bank of Mexico for the period ending on December 31 2016. The Standing Commission of the Mexican Congress ratified his appointment on May 27 2009.
