A parliamentary election was held in Mali on 1 July 2007 and 22 July. In the first round there were about 1400 candidates for 147 seats in the National Assembly.The parliamentary election followed the April 2007 presidential election in which President Amadou Toumani Touré won a second term with 71.20% of the vote.
