Malanka (Russian: Щедрый вечер Schedry vecher — Generous Eve Belarusian: Шчодры вечар Ukrainian: Щедрий вечiр) is a Russian Ukrainian and Belarusian folk holiday celebrated on 13 January which is New Year’s Eve in accordance with the Julian calendar (see Old New Year).
