Major General George B. McClellan is an equestrian statue in Washington D.C. by Frederick William MacMonnies (1863–1937).It is located at the intersection of Connecticut Avenue Columbia Road and California Street N.W. Washington D.C.It was approved by an act of Congress on March 3 1901 (31 Stat. 1174). A competition was held by the McClellan Statue Commission but the entries were thrown out and MacMonnies was selected.
