The Mahican (/məˈhiːkən/; also Mohican /moʊˈhiːkən/) are an Eastern Algonquian Native American tribe originally settled in the Hudson River Valley (around Albany NY) and western New England. After 1680 many moved to Stockbridge Massachusetts.
