The M5 Üsküdar – Çekmeköy / Sancaktepe is a rapid transit line of İstanbul Metro system currently under construction in İstanbul Turkey. It will be the second rapid transit line on the Asian side of İstanbul the other partly in service since August 2012 the M4 Kadıköy – Kaynarca.The construction of the 16.9 km (10.5 mi) long line in the west-east direction with 16 stations between Üsküdar and Sancaktepe and its connection line to the depot with 3 km (1.9 mi) length began on March 20 2012.
