Lyoto Carvalho Machida (Portuguese pronunciation: [liˈotu maˈʃidɐ]) (born May 30 1978) is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who currently fights in the middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. As of March 24 2014 Machida is ranked #3 in the official UFC middleweight rankings.
