Luis Guinot Jr. (born April 8 1935 in San Juan Puerto Rico) was the former United States Ambassador to the Central American nation of Costa Rica from 1991 to 1993.Nominated by President George H. W. Bush on May 30 1991 Guinot was confirmed by the United States Senate in the summer of 1991 and soon afterwards relocated permanently to San José where he presented his credentials to then Costa Rican President Rafael Ángel Calderón Fournier on August 27 1991.
