Lucius of Cyrene (Loukios o Kurenaios Λούκιος ὁ Κυρηναῖος) was according to the Book of Acts one of the founders of the Christian Church in Antioch then part of Roman Syria. He is mentioned by name as a member of the church there after King Herod’s Death:Now there were in the church at Antioch prophets and teachers: Barnabas Symeon who was called Niger Lucius of Cyrene Manaen who was a close friend of Herod the tetrarch and Saul.
