Lucinda Franks is a former staff writer for The New York Times and she has written for The New Yorker The New York Times Magazine and The Atlantic. Franks is also a winner of the Pulitzer Prize for her reporting on the life and death of Diana Oughton a member of The Weathermen an anti-Vietnam war terrorist group winning the Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting in 1971 together with Thomas Powers.
