Louis Oscar Griffith (1875–1956) was an American painter known for his landscapes. He was an associate and friend of artist Frank Reaugh. In 1880 when he was five years of age Griffith moved with his family from Indiana to Texas. In 1893 he began studying art in St. Louis. In 1895 he enrolled at the Chicago Art Institute. He was a major prize winner in the Davis competition.
