The Long Island Railroad Massacre was a mass murder which resulted in Colin Ferguson (born January 14 1958) being convicted of murdering six people and injuring nineteen others on the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) in Garden City New York.On December 7 1993 as an LIRR train pulled into the Merillon Avenue station Ferguson pulled out his gun and started firing at passengers.
