The London mayoral election of 2012 was an election held on Thursday 3 May 2012 to elect the Mayor of London. It was won by Boris Johnson of the Conservative Party. It was held on the same day as the London Assembly election. It was the fourth election since the office of the Mayor of London was created in 2000. Incumbent Conservative Boris Johnson was seeking re-election for a second term as Mayor.
