Line 19 formerly is treated as the last phase for Line 9 is a line on the Shanghai Metro that is part of the 2010~2020 Shanghai Metro plan and is planned to enter operation by 2020. Line 19 starts from Chuanqiao Road in Pudong via the Shanghai Yangtze River Tunnel and the Shanghai Yangtze River Bridge to Chongming Island Chongming County and it will have a branch line from Changxing Island to Hengsha Island. This line can interchange with Lines 9 12 and 14.
