Line 17 of the Beijing Subway (Chinese: 北京地铁17线; pinyin: běijīng dìtiě shíqī hàoxiàn) also known by its codename Line R2 (Chinese: 北京地铁R2线; pinyin: běijīng dìtiě ēr èr hàoxiàn) is a rapid transit rail line under planning in Beijing. Line 17 is planned to run parallel and to the east of Line 5 from the Future Technology City in Changping District to Yizhuang in Daxing District. The line is expected to have a total length of 49.7 km (30.9 mi).
