Lilial (lily aldehyde) is a chemical compound which is used in cosmetic preparations i.e. skin care lotions (for external use only). It can sometimes act as an allergen and may cause contact dermatitis in susceptible individuals. It often appears under the outdated systematic name of butylphenyl methylpropional in lists of ingredients.
