Lewis Glen Lew Carpenter (January 12 1932 – November 14 2010) was an American football player and coach. He played college football at the University of Arkansas and professionally for ten seasons in the NFL as a halfback and fullback with the Detroit Lions Cleveland Browns and Green Bay Packers. He played on three NFL Championship teams with Detroit in 1953 and with Green Bay in 1961 and 1962.
