Leonard Anthony Boyle (born 30 November 1930) is Emeritus Catholic Bishop of Dunedin. He was Fifth Bishop of that see (1983-2005). He was born at Nightcaps Southland New Zealand on 30 November 1930 and was educated at Sister of Mercy convent schools in Nightcaps and Winton.He received his secondary education at St. Kevin’s College Oamaru before training as a priest at Holy Name Seminary Christchurch and Holy Cross College Mosgiel. He was ordained priest at Winton on 31 June 1961.
