Lecanopteris is a genus of any of a number of bizarre ferns having swollen hollow rhizomes that provide homes for symbiotic ants. All are epiphytic plants that naturally occur from Southeast Asia to New Guinea. Some of these ferns are popular in cultivation as houseplants.Selected species
