Lawrence Joseph Christiano (born January 22 1952) is an American economist and researcher. He is the Alfred W. Chase Chair in Business Institutions and a professor of Economics at Northwestern University. He has also taught at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Chicago. He is considered to be among the most cited and influential economists in the world.He received his B.A. in History and Economics and M.A. in Economics at the University of Minnesota. He went on to earn his M.Sc.
