Laverton North Power Station is a power station in Laverton on the outskirts of Melbourne Victoria. It is natural gas-powered with two gas turbines that together generate a total capacity of 320 MW of electricity. Although the power station primarily burns natural gas it can also burn diesel fuel.The station comprises two open cycle gas turbines fuelled by gas supplied via the Brooklyn-Lara gas pipeline.
