Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) (Arabic: االشركة الكويتية للاستكشافات البترولية لخارجية) was established in 1981 under the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation as a subsidiary company. It is empowered to undertake crude oil and natural gas exploration development and production operations outside Kuwait.Since 1984 KUFPEC acquired petroleum concessions for discovery and development in Bahrain Tunisia Egypt China and Indonesia.
