Kundala Valley Railway was the first monorail system in India. It was a privately owned monorail system later converted to a 2 ft (610 mm) narrow gauge railway that operated in Kundala Valley near Munnar in Kerala from 1902 till 1924 when it was destroyed completely by floods.
