Kugel (קוגל kugl pronounced IPA: [ˈkʊɡl̩]) is a baked pudding or casserole similar to a pie most commonly made from egg noodles (Lokshen kugel) or potato. It is a traditional Ashkenazi Jewish dish often served on Shabbat and Yom Tov.
