Kompyang (光餅; pronounced kom-pyang; Jian’ou dialect: Guang-biang) also known as kompia is a biscuit popular in the Malaysian townships of Sitiawan Sibu Ayer Tawar Sarikei and other places where the dominant Chinese community is of Foochow (Fuzhou) ancestry. Kompyang originates from Fuzhou the capital city of Fujian Province of the People’s Republic of China.
