Kjell Arild Svendsen (born 27 August 1953 in Haugesund) is a Norwegian politician for the Christian Democratic Party.He served as a deputy representative to the Norwegian Parliament from Rogaland during the term 2005–2009.On the local level Svendsen was a member of the executive committee of Karmøy from 1987 to 1995 and has served as mayor since. He chaired the local party chapter from 1987 to 1988 and the county chapter from 2004 to 2007.
