The King Range is a mountain range located on the California North Coast entirely within Humboldt County. Much of the area is protected by the King Range National Conservation Area managed by the Bureau of Land Management as a unit of the National Landscape Conservation System. Part of the Northern Coast Ranges the King Range runs parallel to the coast and its western slopes fall steeply to the Pacific Ocean.
